Davis-SLC Community Connector

Project Overview

The purpose of the Alternatives Analysis study was to better understand current and future transit needs in south Davis County. The study identified potential transit improvements to connect North Salt Lake, Bountiful, Woods Cross, and other areas of south Davis County to downtown Salt Lake City.

A bus rapid transit (BRT) solution was recommended, following an extensive public outreach effort, evaluation of impacts and costs, and close collaboration with cities and other regional entities.

The next phase of the project will assess the potential environmental impacts of the project and provide conceptual engineering.

The Alternatives Analysis study was completed August 2014. The next phase, the environmental assessment is anticipated to take kick-off summer 2015 and will take approximately 18 months to complete.

Public input opportunities

Several public meetings were scheduled at key project milestones with opportunities for public comment during the Alternatives Analysis study. Further outreach will occur during the environmental study.
