UTA provides seasonal service to ski resorts along the Wasatch Front. This service is designed to alleviate traffic in the canyons and provide both locals and tourists with a safe and convenient way to reach the slopes. UTA ski buses have special racks and compartments to securely hold ski gear and are equipped with chains to traverse canyon roads in the snow. Ski bus fare is $5.00, and some student and employee passes may not be applicable for use on ski buses. Many resorts include free ski bus service in resort season pass packages.
UTA’s ski service typically runs from November or December to March or April. UTA provides ski service to Snowbasin Resort and Powder Mountain in Weber County, Solitude Mountain Resort, Brighton Resort, Snowbird and Alta Ski Area in Salt Lake County, and Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah County. Many ski bus routes conveniently connect with TRAX or FrontRunner. UTA also offers free parking at Park & Ride lots.
