UTA, in partnership with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has initiated an expansion of bus service in the west side of Salt Lake County, covering the cities of Salt Lake, West Valley, West Jordan, and Kearns. The state population is projected to double by 2050, with current and future growth occurring on the west side of the county. This project is the transit alternative for UDOT’s Mountain View Corridor project and has been identified in the UTA Five-Year Service Plan to address the future growth of west Salt Lake County.
