WHAT: The Utah Transit Authority, Provo City, and Orem City will highlight the launch of a brand new transit option, On Demand, in the West Provo and Orem service area. UTA On Demand, a contracted UTA service through Via, is an innovative form of transportation that connects riders in all accessible vans for point-to-point, shorter distances within a designated zone.
This is UTA On Demand’s fourth zone in Utah, and the first in Utah County. It covers 8.6 square miles offering rideshare-like access to key locations including the Provo and Orem FrontRunner stations, Provo High School, Centro Hispano, Provo City Hall, area shopping centers, and the Provo Airport.
